DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND HERITAGE PROTECTION (QUEENSLAND)
Matt Arthur leads the Biofuture team at the Queensland Department of Environment and Heritage Protection.
Matt and his team are responsible for the environmental sustainability criteria under the biofuels mandate, and the Department's actions and engagement under the 'Advance Queensland Biofutures 10-Year Roadmap and Action Plan'.
Matt is a public policy and strategy specialist, having worked in the public service in New South Wales and Queensland for a decade.
His work in government includes best practice strategic policy development and evaluation, as well as specific roles across forestry, natural resource management, and biodiversity conservation.
At Powering the change, Matt will provide an overview of the Queensland Government's vision to build a sustainable, $1 billion export oriented biofutures sector in Queensland over the next decade that produces low carbon fuels and diverts resources away from landfill to higher value uses.
Matt Arthur will be speaking at the breakfast session: Harvesting the bioeconomy.
