Matthew Waltho is the Sustainability Manager for the Tonsley Innovation District.

Matthew has guided the Tonsley Innovation District redevelopment to achieve the world leading 6-star Green Star Communities certification. He is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and managing projects in support of the certification.

As well as 17 years’ experience in environmental management and strategic sustainability policy leadership,  Matthew has managed projects at national, state and local government levels.

At Powering the change, Matthew will share how maintaining the original Main Assembly Building (also known as 'the MAB'), of a former car manufacturing plant and considering water, energy and waste management at a precinct level, Tonsley is on the path to creating greater long-term value for business and the community.

Matthew Waltho will be speaking at the session Reshaping our built environment - part 1.
