AUSTRALIAN PACKAGING COVENANT ORGANISATION (NEW SOUTH WALES)
Brooke Donnelly leads the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation and is the co-founder and facilitator of the Product Stewardship Cluster (PSC), an organisation working to accelerate Australia’s journey to a circular economy through product stewardship.
The Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (formerly known as the National Packaging Industry Association) manages and administers the Australian Packaging Covenant, which aims to change the culture of business to design more sustainable packaging and increase recycling rates. The organisation connects its diverse membership base with all sectors, industry and government, to find the best possible solutions for packaging sustainability in Australia.
Brooke specialises in product stewardship, recycling and sustainability and over the course of her career has worked in alignment with a broad range of regulatory authorities, industry groups and product stewardship organisations such as the DrumMuster, AIP Oil Container Collection and the National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme.
She has been in packaging since her early career, having spent her formative years managing her third-generation family business specialising in the recycling of industrial packaging. Her extensive experience includes a period as NSW Sustainability Manager for Visy Industrial Packaging, CEO at Catalyst Development Group and Chief Operating Officer for Greenpeace Australia Pacific.
Brooke Donnelly will be speaking at the session Beyond compliance: packaging for purpose and profit.
