Jad Oseyran leads the IBM Global Center of Competence for Circular Economy.
IBM is a global technology company with operations in more than 170 countries. It started its own resource productivity journey in the mid-1980s launching the Global Asset Recovery Services Unit (GARS). Over 99% of all IT hardware that is returned to IBM at the end of the product life cycle is either reused or recycled, and every week more than 30,000 IT assets are processed.
The IBM Global Center of Competence for Circular Economy was established to help transform various industries towards circular models, leveraging digital and business model innovation as well as the re-use operations experience of the last 30 years.
Jad has strategy and operational experience in manufacturing industries (Axel Christiernsson, Philips Semiconductors, Johnson Controls Inc) and later joined IBM as a consultant advising multinationals around ecosystem and business transformations.
At Powering the change, Jad will share about the value creation potential of circular economy in the electronics and construction industries. Leveraging business innovation, advanced analytics and more than 30 years' operational experience in reuse, the IBM Centre of Competence is helping creating a system change in which the concept of waste does not longer exist.
Jad Oseyran will be speaking at the sessions Eurovisions: circular economy trends and initiatives, Advancing manufacturing: industry 4.0 and the circular economy and the breakfast session Precious metals: 'urban mining' and discovering wealth in waste.
